FAQs
The practical questions, answered.
Working with me
Do I need to know anything about astrology, myth, or psychology to work with you?
No. None of this is a test, and you don't have to believe anything in particular for it to be useful. Astrology and myth are simply lenses I read with; you don't need to know your chart or remember a single fairy tale. We work with whatever's actually alive for you.
Is this therapy?
No. Legally and actually, what I offer is coaching and chart reading, not clinical therapy. It can feel therapeutic, in the old sense of the word, because we work with real and sometimes deep material, but I'm not a licensed therapist, I don't diagnose, and I don't treat mental-health conditions. If what you need is clinical care, that's important and real, and I'll gladly help you find the right kind of support. What I offer is a space to be read, to see your own patterns more clearly, and to find your way through.
Will you tell me what to do?
No, and not because I'm withholding. The whole approach rests on the idea that your own knowing is already in there. My work is to read what's in front of us, ask the questions that haven't been asked, and offer a different angle when something wants one, always as an invitation. You stay the author.
How do I prepare, and what happens after I book?
Very little preparation is needed. Find a private space where you can speak freely, and come as you are. After you book you'll get the meeting details, and for the chart work you'll send your birth data and a short note about what you're hoping for. Often the simple act of booking starts something; in the days before we meet, notice what rises.
Are sessions recorded?
For astrology sessions, yes by default, I record and send you the audio to keep, then delete my copy. For Threshold Work, no by default, because some conversations want to stay where they happen; if you'd like one recorded for your own reflection, just say so and I'll send it. (A note: phone sessions can't be recorded, for technical reasons.)
Zoom or phone?
Zoom holds the work best, with video or audio-only, your choice. Phone works in a pinch, though we lose the recording option and a little of the presence.
What if I can't find a time that works, or we're in different time zones?
Reach out. Between us we can usually find something. Don't let the scheduling page be the thing that stops you.
What's your cancellation and rescheduling policy?
Life happens, so give me 48 hours' notice when you can. For the monthly container, that's one reschedule per month, and sessions don't roll over. I work this way on purpose: we book the time and we do the work, rather than letting it drift indefinitely. It's a boundary that keeps the work honest and keeps me from waiting in the wings forever.
Do you offer refunds?
All offerings are non-refundable once purchased. I keep this clean because it lets us both commit fully, and because the time you book is time I've set aside and prepared for. If a genuine emergency arises, reach out and we'll talk; anything worked out from there is handled personally, case by case.
What falls outside what you do?
I stay in my lane: storytelling, chart reading, and threshold accompaniment, not medical, legal, or financial advice, and not clinical mental-health treatment. If something you're carrying belongs in more specialized hands, I'll say so and help you find where to take it.
Astrology Sessions & Business Cosmology
What's the difference between a single Astrology Session and Business Cosmology?
A single session is personal, and it's the right door if you've never had your chart read, or if you're sitting with a particular question, a current transit, a life transition, or a phase you want to look at closely. Business Cosmology is its own three-session container, focused not on your life broadly but on the work you're building, a business, a practice, a creative venture, read through your chart. One reads the story of you; the other reads the story of you and the thing you're making, in the same room.
Do I need an established business for Business Cosmology?
No. It works whether you've been at it for years or are just beginning to sense what you want to build. Sometimes the most useful time to read the work is before it's fully arrived.
Why do you need my exact birth time, and what if I don't have it?
Astrology is precise work, and the exact time is what lets me cast the houses, your Ascendant, Midheaven, and an exact Moon, the parts of the chart that locate everything in your actual life. Without it, I can still read the planets in their signs and how they aspect one another, which says real things about you, but I can't give you the houses, the angles, or a precise Moon, and I'll be honest about that limit rather than pretend otherwise. I don't do birth-time rectification. If you can track your time down (a birth certificate, a parent's memory, hospital records), it's worth the effort.
Can you read my partner's chart, or someone else's?
I read the chart of the person who's present and has consented to it, yours. Someone else's chart belongs to them. If your real question is about a relationship, we can absolutely look at how you're showing up in it, through your own chart, which is yours to ask about. A full reading of two charts together is its own kind of work; if that's what you're after, send a note, and we'll talk about what would fit.
Threshold Work
Why don't you offer a free discovery call?
Because I've never liked being on the other end of one, the quiet pressure to decide something tender on the spot, and I won't put you through it. If you have a real question, email it and I'll answer it, no pitch attached. And if you already know this is for you, you can simply begin.
How is the pace set, and what's the commitment?
Six sessions over three months, two a month, with the rhythm shaped to what your process needs, closer together when the fog thickens, more space when you need to integrate. All six happen within the three months; they don't roll over. The container is finite on purpose, and it's renewable if a second arc wants to follow.
What if I'm in crisis, or my life comes apart partway through?
Threshold Work is accompaniment, not crisis care. If you're in acute distress or danger, please reach for clinical or emergency support first; that's the right kind of help for that moment, and I'll gladly point you toward it. And if life genuinely detonates mid-container, reach out; we can talk about pausing and resuming later. That's handled personally on a case-by-case basis.
Classes & Workshops
Are workshops and classes recorded?
Yes. Paid classes are recorded so you can watch back if you miss a live session or want to revisit something, with the exception of live Q&A or sharing portions, which I keep unrecorded to protect everyone's privacy.
Recordings stay available for a set window after the class and are then taken down, so plan to watch within that time.
When another organization hosts something I'm teaching, their rules apply, and I'll always tell you the specifics before you sign up.
